Sadia Ayman angry with internet shutdown

Many in the art and culture arena have expressed solidarity with the ongoing quota movement. Among them are the performers under the banner of Visual Artists Society. They spoke in favour of the justification of the demand of the students in the capitals’ Farmgate area recently.
Meanwhile, the small screen actress Sadia Ayman is angry because of the internet shutdown. She expressed her anger in a Facebook post.
She said, “Could just stop at the internet. It is closing before, is there any benefit? No, never will. Regarding the power of ordinary people, it should be understood that every fire is a little bit by now. These people have the power to set the whole world on fire. So, stop this stupid game and pray ‘Ya Nafshi, Ya Nafshi’. Live by your own words.”
Earlier, Sadia Ayman expressed her anger on artistes’ visit on Bangladesh Television (BTV). Many of the art culture movement expressed solidarity with the ongoing quota reform movement.
Young generation’s actress Sadia Ayman did not take well the scene of their crying when they went to the premises of BTV. She has expressed her hatred towards Rokeya Prachy, Ferdous, on her Facebook account. Sadia Ayman criticised those artistes by sharing a card on her Facebook
ID and page on Friday.
While visiting BTV Bhaban, actress Shomi Kaiser said,
“I couldn’t hold back my tears when I came to BTV premises.”
Sharing the card, Sadia Ayman wrote, “Shame on you guys.”
Explaining her comment, Sadia Ayman wrote in a post sometime after 9:00pm on Friday, “A once popular actors and actresses shed tears after going to the premises of BTV. Of course, their lives and careers are closely related to the memory of BTV. It may be
normal for them to be sad.
But, so much! students, children, mothers, sisters, ordinary people did not say anything about the deaths. Never once expressed regret. Never said anything about the murder of these people. Why?”
Expressing anger, Sadia also wrote in that post, “Because those who lost their lives in this movement are none of you. You will not get any benefit, interest, and power from them or their families. So what? The words you say in front of the camera, thinking about your own profit and loss, for the sake of power or to show someone, will remain in the archive for the rest of your life, will remain in our minds. Generation after generation will know that the 90’s actors we were impressed with on the TV screen, now we are amazed and ashamed by their real life actions, I regret to inform you that respect for you may never return.”
