As part of its ongoing commitment to fostering sustainable public-private partnerships (PPPs) in Bangladesh’s port sector, Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) Bangladesh paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Public Private Partnership Authority (PPPA) on Monday.
During the visit, Director of Global Investments Gegan Seksaria and RSGT Bangladesh CEO Erwin Haaze met with PPPA CEO (Secretary) Muhammad Rafiqul Islam. The delegation shared updates on their recent achievement-successfully commencing operations and maintenance (O&M) of the Patenga Container Terminal under a PPP framework.
The RSGT executives also expressed their keen interest in expanding their collaboration with the Government of Bangladesh through the O&M of the upcoming Matarbari Port Development Project. This aligns with PPPA’s vision of leveraging private sector expertise to drive infrastructure development and operational efficiency in critical national projects, says a press release.
The PPPA leadership welcomed RSGT’s interest and reiterated the Authority’s commitment to facilitating transparent and mutually beneficial PPP engagements in line with the national development agenda.
