Rangpur Metropolitan Police’s May 2025 Monthly Welfare Meeting was held. On Monday morning, Rangpur Metropolitan Police Police (RPMP) Commissioner Md. Majid Ali presided over the monthly welfare meeting held at the Metropolitan Police Lines. Also present were Additional Police Commissioner (Administration and Finance), NareshChakma, Deputy Police Commissioner (Headquarters and Administration), Md. HabiburRahman, Deputy Police Commissioner (Crime) Md. Tofail Ahmed, Deputy Police Commissioner (Traffic), Md. Abdur Rashid, Additional Deputy Police Commissioners, Assistant Police Commissioners and other ranks of police officers and members.
In the beginning, the Police Commissioner exchanged greetings with everyone and confirmed whether the applications of the last police welfare meeting had been taken up or not. After this, he wanted to know the problems of the officers and forces. After listening to the problems of the officers and forces, he took immediate steps to resolve them. The Commissioner presented cash awards to SI (Retd) Md. MahfuzarRahman, SI (Retd) Azmat Ali, Sergeant Rahul Kumar Chakraborty, Sergeant Md. BadrulAlamChowdhury, Sergeant Ashrafuzzaman, ASI (Retd) Md. MunmunHossain, ASI (Retd) Md. Selim Ahmed working in various units of Rangpur Metropolitan Police for their work with ethics, efficiency, courage and professionalism.
The Commissioner instructed the officers to follow the government guidelines in using social media. He advised them to be health conscious including keeping pure water with them to stay healthy in the current intense heat. He inspired all the officers and forces to work with great patience and professionalism in all situations. He declared the monthly welfare meeting over by calling for teamwork.
