The Dairy Bangla Foods Limited in Siraganj’s Shahjadpur Upazila was fined Tk 2 lakh for keeping rotten cheese.
It has been supplying stale cheese to various districts including capital Dhaka.
Shahjadpur Assistant Commissioner (land) and Executive Magistrate Md Masud Hossain conducted the mobile court drive late Tuesday night at the municipality’s bus terminal area and slapped the fine. About 1,500kg of rotten cheese was destroyed during the drive.
