Roadmap for early elections way to overcome political crisis: Mir Helal

BNP National Executive Committee’s Chattagram Divisional Co-Organizing Secretary Barrister Mir Md. Helal Uddin said that the only way to overcome the current political crisis in Bangladesh is to announce a roadmap for early elections.

Only a roadmap for early elections can overcome the political crisis. He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the Khatme Quran and Doa Mahfil organised by the Metropolitan Jubo Dal on the occasion of the 44th death anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman in front of the Shaheed Zia Memorial Museum in Kazi Deuri on Thursday.

He said that the leader of the democracy-loving people of Bangladesh, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, has repeatedly made it clear that he continues to support the interim government in the interest of establishing a government accountable to the people through the people’s vote.

It seems that some in power want to start a fight with BNP by stepping on their toes.

At this time, Quran and prayer mahfil, attended by more than a thousand students from various madrasas and orphanages in the city, was concluded with a special prayer, praying for the forgiveness of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and the late Arafat Rahman Koko, and for the health and longevity of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
