Around 300 workers of Crony Apparel Limited on Saturday staged a demonstration after putting up barricades on Dhaka-Munshiganj road demanding payment of their dues.
Selim Badsha, inspector of Narayanganj Industrial Police, said some 300 workers and staff of the garment factory took to the street around 9 am and staged demonstrations demanding payment of their dues.
The workers from the factory floor claimed that they are not getting their arrears for two months while the administrative staff claimed they are owed arrears for five months.
On information, police rushed to the spot and tried to disperse them.
Later, the workers left the road following the assurance from the garment authorities to pay their dues as soon as possible.
