Right-arm leg spinner Rishad Hossain of Bangladesh made record taking one wicket for Lahore Qalandars against Karachi Kings in the T20 match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday night.
Rishad Hossain is now the highest wickettaker among the Bangladeshi bowlers. He captured nine wickets playing five matches in PSL. Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah Riyad were the highest Bangladeshi wickettakers in PSL Cricket.
Batting first Lahore Qalanders piled up 160 for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated 15 overs (five overs were curtailed due to rain).
In reply, Karachi Kings romped home scoring 168 for the loss of eight wickets in 14.3 overs. Karachi Kings won the match by four wickets, according to the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern Method.
Opener Mohammed Naeem of Lahore Qalandars struck 65 using 29 deliveries including six fours and five sixes, while Fakhar Zaman, the other opener hammered a quick-fire 51 playing 33 balls with four fours and three sixes.
Rishad Hossain remained unbeaten with naught. Abbas Afridi was the highest wickettaker for Karachi Kings with four wickets instead of 27 runs.
Irfan Khan of Karachi Kings remained unbeaten with 48 runs. His 21-ball knock was laced with five sixes and two fours.
Rishad Hossain bagged one wicket in the space of 28 runs. Rishad bowled three overs. He dismissed James Vince for 13 runs.
Lahore Qalandars took the fourth spot in the points table earning nine points from nine matches.
