Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Rita Faria Richie Solaiman, popularly known as Richie Solaiman, is a popular TV actress in Bangladesh. Acting in many dramas, she has been soaked in the loves of the audience countless times.
Her husband Rashek Malik is currently working in the detective branch of the New York Police in USA.
Richie was living in America with two sons and daughters. But for the past few years, she has been staying in Dhaka to develop her two children in the education and culture of Bangladesh. She has already worked in some dramas.
But it can be said that she is trying to give time to only her children for the last few years.
In the meantime, Richie gave a news to this correspondent about her acting. And that is, she has completed the work of a web film for the first time. Richie acted in the web film titled ‘Girgiti,’ written by Satyaki Tarafdar and directed by Vijaya Jana.
In the meantime, Richie Solaiman has gone to Kolkata and completed the works of the web film. In the web film, Richie played the role of a police officer named ‘Shovona’, who basically uncovers a murder mystery.
Regarding talking about acting in the web film for the first time, Richie Solaiman told this correspondent, “I met RTV’s CEO Syed Ashik Rahman Bhai in a show in USA. When Ashik Bhai talked to me about work, I said that I won’t work if I don’t get the story and character I want. Ashik Bhai did not know that I live in Dhaka now. So, Ashik Bhai said, ‘I am preparing a web film for you, you will work on it.’ Finally, I worked in the web film ‘Girgiti’ in Ashik Bhai’s plan. The entire work has already been done in Kolkata. Everyone except me was an artiste from Kolkata. The work has been done with great care.”
“In our country, very few stories are written with female characters. Our artistes are very upset about this. Anyway, ‘Girgiti’ is a web film with a female lead. Since the entire work is done in Kolkata, they have done the work from the place of their 100 per cent professionalism. I believe this work will satisfy the audience. And this is the reason for trying to leave my two children in the country to study here and also the reason for trying to make them understand the country’s culture little by little is to awaken the Bangladeshi values in them,” Richie also said.
Produced by Bengal Multimedia Ltd, the web film ‘Girgiti’ will soon be telecasted on ‘RTV Plus’ on a special day.
Richie also said that she took part in the shooting of a drama on June 2 and 3.
