The government has revised office hours to 9:00 am to 3:30 pm for the holy month of Ramadan.
This new schedule applies to all public, semi-public, autonomous, and semi-autonomous organisations.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notice on Monday outlining the changes.
Currently, the regular office hours for government employees are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The revised timings have been set with consideration for Sehri and Iftar times.
Under the new schedule, offices will operate from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm on working days (Sunday to Thursday), with a 15-minute Zuhr prayer break from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm each day.
Banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, postal services, railways, hospitals, state-owned industries, factories, and other emergency services will determine their own office hours based on public interest.
Additionally, the Supreme Court will set its own working hours, while the timing for lower courts will be decided separately.
