Resounding win for Rajshahi in BPL Cricket

Right-arm pacer Taskin Ahmed of Durbar Rajshahi harpooned seven wickets as Durbar Rajshahi recorded a resounding seven-wicket victory over Dhaka Capital’s in their second match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur on Thursday.

Taskin Ahmed is now the top bowler of BPL Cricket history who captured seven wickets in a match. Taskin finished his superb spell as 4-0-19-7. Ahmed was adjudged the Man of the Match.

Chasing Dhaka Capital’s fighting total of 174 for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs, Durbar Rajshahi coasted home making 179 for the loss of three wickets remaining with 11 deliveries.
Durbar Rajshahi made an unhappy start as they lost their two openers for 31 runs.

Then, one-down Anamul Haque and Yasir Ali contributed together 42 runs for the third wicket partnership before Yasir Ali (22) was dismissed by Alauddin Babu when Rajshahi’s total was 73 for the loss of three wickets.

Anamul Haque and Ryan Burl powered their team to anchor the victory target scoring together 106 runs for the unbroken fourth wicket partnership.

Anamul Haque remained unbeaten with 73 runs. He struck three sixes and nine fours in his 46-ball hurricane innings.

Ryan Burl remained unbeaten with 55 runs. His 33-ball windy knock was decorated with five fours and three sixes.

Dhaka Capital’s had a sorrow as they lost their early two wickets for 14 runs.
One-down Stephen Eskinazi and second-down Shahadat Hossain built a worthy partnership contributing together 79 runs in the third wicket stand before Stephen Eskinazi was bowled out by Hasan Murad when Dhaka’s total was 93 for the loss of three wickets.

Stephen Eskinazi hit a marvelous 46. His 29-ball innings was belted with six fours and two sixes.
After Stephen’s departure, Shahadat Hossain and Thisara Perera added together 36 runs for the fourth wicket partnership before Thisara Perera (21) was dismissed by Mohor Sheikh when Dhaka’s score was 129 for the loss of four wickets.

Shahadat Hossain was caught by Ryan Burl off Taskin Ahmed when Dhaka’s total was 137 for the loss of five wickets.

Shahadat Hossain notched up an exact 50. He hit seven fours in his 41-ball innings.
Chaturanga de Silva (1) was caught behind by wicketkeeper Akbar Ali off Taskin Ahmed when Dhaka’s score was 139 for the loss of six wickets.

Shubham Ranjane and Alauddin Babu scored together 33 runs for the seventh wicket partnership before Alauddin Babu (13) was dismissed by Taskin Ahmed when Dhaka’s total was 172 for the loss of seven wickets.

Mukidul Islam (0) was bowled out by Taskin Ahmed when Dhaka’s score was 172 for the loss of eight wickets.
Shubham Ranjane (24) was dismissed by Taskin Ahmed when Dhaka’s total was 173 for the loss of nine wickets.
