Rescue rivers, forest areas at any cost: Syeda Rizwana

Environmentalist Syeda Rizwana Hasan, adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Ministry of Water Resources, said that to protect the balance of the environment, the encroached river and forest areas will be rescued at any cost and the sale of illegal polythene and brick kilns will be stopped from the market all over the country. She said we will not bow down to any muscle power.

With the full cooperation of the administration officials, our operations have started across the country and will continue until they are stopped.

When she arrived at the Kumudini Complex in Tangail’s Mirzapur on Wednesday (November 6) evening, she was felicitated by the administration and students of Bharateshree Homes and Nursing College.

After that, she visited Kumudini Hospital, Kumudini Nursing School and College, Kumudini Women’s Medical College, Bharateshari Homes, Shaheed Danvir RP Sahar’s ancestral house and the work of the Laujong river crossing project adjacent to Kumudini Hospital and told the reporters these things.

Syeda Rizwana Hasan said, Tangail is district of tradition and history. There were about 41 thousand acres of forest area in Madhupur region. Day by day the ruling class has taken over most of the land in this forest area.

Rescue work has started in this forest area. He said that the encroached land around Laujong river in Tangail city is being recovered.

Polythene ban and illegal brick kilns are being banned from all over the country to protect the environment. No new brick kiln licenses and environment department clearances are being issued. They will be stopped at any cost. We will not bow down to anyone.
