Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 11.6 percent reaching US$2.425 billion in the twenty two days of December, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued on Tuesday.
Last year, during the same period, the country’s remittance inflow was $2.173 billion.
During the July to Dec 22, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $15.464 billion, which was $13.311 billion during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
Expatriate Bangladeshis sent US$2.89 billion remittances in November, which was around 31.37 percent higher than the corresponding month of the previous year.
In October, the remittance inflow was $2.56 billion.
