Staff Reporter :

A total of 6,531 recommended candidates demanded to issue appointment letters for the position of Assistant Teacher in Government Primary Schools.

They made the demand of recruitment immediately from a press conference held at the National Press Club on Monday.

During the press conference, it was stated that while the final recruitment process for the first and second phases of primary education has been completed, the recruitment for the third phase remains stalled.

The recruitment process for 6,531 individuals has been suspended for six months by the High Court. Despite three hearings in the Chamber Judge Court, the Appellate Division, and the High Court, no resolution has been reached.

Many of these individuals left other government jobs to join the primary education service but are now unemployed. Despite being recommended for the positions, they are unable to join, which has caused significant social humiliation for the families of 6,531 individuals. They are enduring a life of hardship.

Assistant Teacher Kajol Roy said, “The results were published after obtaining opinions from the Ministry of Law and the Ministry of Public Administration to avoid legal complications. So why are we now being prevented from joining? We will not accept any excuses. We demand immediate joining.”
