Reckitt Benckiser Bangladesh declared a 3,330 per cent cash dividend to its shareholders for 2024, which will be the highest payout in its history, according to a company source.
The Dettol and Harpic manufacturer took the dividend decision at a board meeting held on Monday.
To approve the dividend, the UK-based company will conduct the annual general meeting on 28 May, and the record date is set for 29 April.
This massive payout surpasses its previous highest dividend of 1,650 per cent declared in 2021, more than doubling the return to shareholders.
On Monday, its shares closed 2.64 per cent lower at Tk3,947.70 at the Dhaka bourse.
Meanwhile, its earnings per share dropped by 8 per cent to Tk159.17 in 2024 compared to the previous year.
Earlier, the company’s profit fell as its cash flow decreased significantly in the July-September quarter of this year.
The leading multinational fast-moving consumer goods company reported a profit of Tk 20.37 crore in Q3, down over 9 percent year-on-year.
