World Cup under threat

The World Cup Football 2014 is really under threat. The demonstrators have pledged not to allow the competition in Brazil, the land of football.
But we are surprised at their behaviour. May we ask them whether they were hibernating in last seven years when the country’s football governing body won the rights to stage the 20th edition of the World Cup Football? Or, did not they calculate that such gigantic tournament would involve huge cost?
The demonstrators’ latest argument is that a school teacher is more important than Neymar. It may be right from the sense of schooling. But will they ignore the revenues Brazilian footballers sending from Europe and other continents to own country for use in the health and the education sectors? Perhaps, an international conspiracy is out to damage the reputation of Brazil as a peace and football loving nation. If the conspiracy can be materialized, football will die in Brazil for long, long years.
In this critical juncture, there is only option for FIFA to shift the venue to a European or the North American country to save it from death. To us, England may be the first choice because of her advanced technology, ultra-modern communication system and logistic supports like stadiums and hotels. Although time is too short, still it is possible for the British Government and the English Football Association.
Still we hope that the Rio de Janeiro government will give all out supports to the Football Confederation of Brazil (CBF) to finish the unfinished task through negotiation with the demonstrators instead of using force. Will both the parties reach consensus?
