RDA’s 35th conference inaugurated

The two-day 35th Annual Planning Conference of Rural Development Academy, Bogra, located in Sherpur, Bogra, was inaugurated.

Yesterday, Sunday, July 27 at 10 am, Dr. A, K, M. Oli Ullah, Director General of Rural Development Academy, Bogra (RDA, Bogra), chaired the conference, with Md. Ismail Hossain, Secretary of the Rural Development and Cooperatives Department, as the chief guest. Dr. Mohammad Khalequzzaman, Director General of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI), was the special guest.

Also speaking at the conference were Khalid Aurangzeb, Joint Director of the Academy, Md. Mohiuddin, Andalib Mehzabin and Monirul Islam.

The conference was attended by more than a hundred researchers, academicians, government officials, development workers and beneficiaries, based on whose active participation and opinions, RDA formulated its future development action plan.

It was informed at the conference that the organization has already trained 7 lakh 6 thousand 7’59 trainees, published 5’82 research reports and implemented 51 practical research projects.

In addition, there are plans to train 3 thousand 5’55 people in 75 batches, implement 19 research and 4 practical research projects in the fiscal year 2025-26.

The speakers said that RDA has developed a sustainable and model-based framework for rural development based on these three pillars of innovation, application and expansion, which will play an important role in improving the quality of life of the marginalized people of the country.
