Ahead of the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Rangpur Riders have signed two foreign players before the auction, including Pakistan’s all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed, who played 12 matches last season scoring 305 runs at an average of 44 and taking 5 wickets.
He previously featured in the 2023 BPL as well. Rangpur also bagged West Indies star Kyle Mayers.
Rangpur’s foreign lineup also includes Khawaja Nafay, Faheem Ashraf, and Sufiyan Muqeem.
Nafay played for Chittagong Kings last season, Faheem for Barishal, while Muqeem is making his BPL debut.
Mustafizur Rahman has been signed directly ahead of the auction, while Litton Das has also been added to the squad during the auction.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s star all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai will also be seen playing for the Sylhet franchise. This is not his first BPL appearance as he has previously played for Rangpur and Dhaka.
