Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a legendary figure in the music of the subcontinent. From the Arabian Sea to the Indian Ocean, countless listeners are mesmerized by his songs. Now, joining his extraordinary and successful voice is Rubaiyat Jahan, a familiar name in Bangladeshi music. Together, they bring a song of silent love titled “Tumi Amar Prem Piyasha”.
Written by National Film Award-winning lyricist Kabir Bakul and composed by internationally acclaimed music director Raja Kaasheff, the song’s video was filmed in London, featuring Rahat Fateh Ali Khan himself. The track will be released under Dhruba Music Station.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan holds a special affection for Bangla songs, and according to his co-singer Rubaiyat Jahan, he sang this one with deep sincerity. Expressing her excitement about performing a duet with such a legendary artist, Rubaiyat said, “It feels like I have held the moon in my hands. I believe this is one of the greatest achievements of my life. I have tried to give my best in this song. I hope this song of love will travel far across borders, reaching distant lands.”
Dhruba Music Station (DMS) announced that the video will be released on their YouTube channel on September 2 (Tuesday). In addition, the song will be available on Shadhin Music, Spotify, Apple Music, and several other local and international music platforms.
