World Rotary leader, Past District Governor of Philippines Rotary Mr. Rafael M Garcia arrived in Dhaka on Friday. He was keynote speaker in Rotary District Assembly which was held in Raowa Auditorium, Dhaka on Saturday.
Leading industrialist of world Mr. Rafael is the Chairman of multinational company Mega Group of Computer Companies, with offices in the US, Shanghai, Buenos Aries, Singapore and Germany, active in the Middle East, South America, Australia and in the Eastern Block countries.
He was a Vice Convenor for the 2013 Taipei Institute, a Training Leader for the 2014 International Assembly, EMGA for Zone 7a for 2013-2015, and a GETS Training Leader at the 2014 Kota Kinabalu Institute.
He is the fourth Filipino to be named to the Arch C. Klumph Society of Rotary International along with philanthropists Angelo King, Emilio Yap, and Paing Hechanova. He is the second Filipino in the Chair’s Circle along with the late Dr. Emilio Yap.
In 1979, when he was just 35 years old he was elected as the youngest member of the YPO (Young President Organization) a world wide organization of high achievers who become president of major corporation before the age of 40. In 1994, he was elected to the WPO (World President Organization) where he is a life member.
