RAB nabs rape accused

RAB-4 has arrested fugitive Palash (28) who was sentenced to life in the sensational girl rape case in Shibalaya of Manikganj. RAB arrested Palash from Palli Vidyut area under Ghior police station of Manikganj district on Wednesday evening. On Wednesday (March 27) night RAB-4, CPC-3 Manikganj company commander Lt. Commander Md. Arif Hossain confirmed the arrest through a press release.
According to RAB, in the interrogation and statement of the arrested accused, it is known that the victim used to live in Bilnali village of Mahadevpur union under Shivaloy police station. Palash used to work as a soil carrying truck driver in Bilnali area under Shivaloy police station in Manikganj district. The victim was studying in 6th grade of Shakrail High School under Shibalaya Police Station. Due to work in the area, Palash followed the victim on her way to and from school and proposed love. When the victim did not agree, Palash got angry with her and started looking for an opportunity to take revenge. On the morning of November 1, 2016, the victim left for Shakrail High School. In the middle of the road, Palash abducted her and taken to an unknown location. There, he raped the victim several times and later sent her home.
