RAB investigates dies of woman in Bhairab camp

The RAB’s law and Media wing Director Commander Arafat Islam said that after the arrest of a woman in a case in Bhairab of Kishoreganj, RAB will investigate her death in its custody.
He said that after the arrest of the woman, she fell ill. She later died after being taken to government hospital. The actual cause of his death will be known through the medical examination. Besides, RAB will investigate this.
RAB director Commander Arafat Islam said these things in response to a question from journalists at a press conference organized at RAB’s media center in the Capital’s Kawran Bazar on Saturday evening.
He said, ‘Last 13th May, a case was filed under the Women and Child Torture Act of Mymensingh special tribunal. Earlier on the night of April 26, a complaint was filed in the case of the death of a pregnant woman in National of Mymensingh. Following the complaint, two accused in the case were arrested. After arrest, they were taken to a camp to be brought under the law. If one feels ill there, one is taken to the local health complex. The duty doctor declared her dead.’ In response to the question that there has been an allegation that they were taken from the police station to the RAB camp, the RAB spokesperson said, ‘There is no information about the detention from the police station.
