The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has deployed 218 patrol teams across the country and intensified undercover intelligence surveillance to ensure law and order and apprehend criminals.
According to a press release issued by RAB’s Legal and Media Wing on Tuesday (February 25), recent incidents of violence, vandalism, and criminal activities orchestrated by certain groups have led to growing public concern. Reports indicate an increase in crimes such as robbery, mugging, murder, extortion, and violent attacks in different parts of the country.
In response, RAB has launched extensive operations nationwide since the night of February 24, 2025, to maintain stability and prevent any acts of sabotage or violence.
The force has coordinated with other law enforcement agencies to strengthen security measures, deploying 69 patrol teams in Dhaka and 149 teams outside the capital, totaling 218 patrol units across the country. Additionally, intelligence surveillance in plainclothes has been increased.
