The Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) has announced that it played a significant role in assisting the army and other security forces in maintaining law and order across the country during the recent spate of violence.
In a statement issued by the Rab headquarters, the elite force reported that it had extended its cooperation to the Bangladesh Army, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), and Ansar personnel in stabilizing the situation through joint patrols in various parts of the country, reports UNB.
Rab’s involvement was also crucial in the recovery of arms and ammunition that had been looted from police stations, police lines, and police outposts amid the unrest. Their efforts were instrumental in reopening several police stations that had been forced to close during the violence.
In addition to its security operations, Rab assisted students in managing the traffic system and took part in monitoring commodity markets to ensure stability in prices and availability, according to the statement.
The collaboration between Rab and other forces has been essential in restoring order and ensuring the safety of citizens during this challenging period.
