A complaint has been filed against the Azimpur Public Works Department (PWD) official Tushar Alam and his wife in the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) recently.
The ACC compliant says that, Tushar Alam, Sub-Assistant Engineer of Azimpur PWD Division, Dhaka, son of deceased Ataur Rahman of Manikganj district. Mr Tushar has illegally embezzled Tk crores and built wealth through the corruption of various projector works of the government.
Complainant Asaduzzaman Khan (Dolan) of Manikganj has mentioned in the description that (1) Tushar Alam’s wife Soheli Jasmine Khanom is the owner of an apartment, House No. # 59, Dorik Jiboner Alo, lift (4th floor), opposite of Sky Hotel, Shantinagar Ramna Circular Road, Dhaka, (2) Soheli Jasmin’s luxury apartment in Panthpath next to Square Hospital in Dhaka, (3) Owner of luxurious 5 storied building at Manikganj Sadar Baota Road, Ramzan Ali Road, (4) Owner of Taj Enterprises at Manikganj Shaheed Toju Road, holding no – 0042-00, (5) Dhaka Chawkbazar shop. Personally owns two private cars.
Besides thses, he has also a shop in Neelkhet of Dhaka namely Taj Products. A house is nearing completion at Banashree B – Block.
There is a current account in the name of MS Taj Enterprises at Prime Bank, Dhaka New Market Branch, whose account number is -0011100000667.
Complainant Md. Asaduzzaman Khan demanded to investigate the said matters properly and take necessary action against Tushar Alam and his wife.
Tushar Alam told The Daily New Nation that I have a flat in Dhaka. The five storied building at Manikganj is the owner of my brother. Besides these, my wife runs business.
