The Putul Memorial Merit Scholarship and Award Distribution Ceremony of Ramgarh’s social organization Putul Foundation was held on Thursday. Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Md. Hasnat Morshed Bhuiyan was the chief guest at the event organized at the Upazila Auditorium.
The event was presided over by the founder of Putul Foundation, Professor Dr. Nikhil Chandra Nath, Head of the Gastroenterology Department of Mugda Medical College Hospital, Dhaka. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mamata Afrin, Acting Principal of Ramgarh Government Degree College Mongsajai Marma, Officer-in-Charge of the Police Station Mohammad Moin Uddin, District BNP Vice President Hafez Ahmed Bhuiyan, and former member of Khagrachhari Zilla Parishad Mongpru Chowdhury were special guests at the event.
Among others, Ramgarh Govt High School Headmaster (Retd) Md. Abdul Quader, Girls High School Headmaster Kazi Nazmul Islam, Govt High School Senior Teacher Md. Rashedul Islam, New Nation Correspondent and Ramgarh Press Club President Md. Nizam Uddin Lavlu, students Noor A Tahir Arabi and Israt Jahan Chowdhury Sifat spoke. At the end of the discussion, the guests distributed merit scholarships and prizes among the students.
