A huge public meeting was held on the arrival of BNP candidate Shawkatul Islam Shaku from the United Kingdom in Kulaura for the upcoming 13th National Parliament Moulvi bazar-2 (Kulaura) constituency with the symbol of rice sheaf. About ten people attended the public meeting. More than a thousand leaders and activists participated. At that time, the leaders and activists arrived at the public meeting place with placards and processions of rice straws.
After a long 17 years, the leaders and activists welcomed their beloved leader with joy and enthusiasm as they got a BNP party candidate.

On Thursday, Shawkatul Islam Shaku was welcomed by leaders and activists of Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal with a motorcycle procession of about a thousand people from the Mission area of Brahmanbazar Union. Then the procession circled Kulaura town and ended at the Dakbungo ground. Meanwhile, the gathering continued to grow with the presence of leaders and activists from all 13 unions of the upazila and every ward of Kulaura Municipality.
