Implementation of 8-point demand: Protest rally held in Kulaura

A protest rally was held at the platform of Kulaura Junction Station to protest the discriminatory behaviour of the railway towards the people of Greater Sylhet and to demand the immediate implementation of the eight-point demands.
The program was organized under the banner of ‘Point Demand Implementation Movement’. The rally issued a stern warning that if eight points of demand, including the introduction of two new trains on the Sylhet-Dhaka and Sylhet-Cox’s Bazar railway routes, were not met, the railways would be closed.
Communication with Sylhet will be stopped by blockade and train blocking. Under the chairmanship of Azizul Islam, coordinator of the 8-point demand implementation movement and president of the Kulaura Press Club, and Nazmul Bari Suhel, general secretary of the Upazila Press Club.
Former Kulaura Upazila BNP President Joynal Abedin Bachchu, President of the Overseas Nationalist Forum Saiful Alam Chowdhury, Nayeb-e-Ameer of Upazila Jamaat Md. Zakir, spoke in solidarity at the protest rally organized by Sohel.
