The 21st to 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Progressive Life Insurance Company Limited, a publicly listed company in the capital market, was held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) in Kakrail, Dhaka.
The meeting was chaired by the company’s Vice Chairman, Bajloor Rashid MBE. Among the attendees were company directors Mezanur Rahman, Gulam Mostafa Ahmed, Zakariya Ahad, Kamal Miah, as well as nominated directors Abdus Shakur Chowdhury , Zahurul Syed Bakht CPA, CMA, FCMand Md. Jamil Sharif, PhD, FCMA—an independent director. The company’s Chief Executive Officer MD Saidul Amin, Chief Financial Officer Sakhawat Hossain, and other senior officials were also present.
The meeting, conducted by Company Secretary Abdullah Al Mansur, saw a large turnout of enthusiastic investors.
During the AGM, the audited financial statements and overall operational activities of the company for the fiscal years 2020 to 2023 were discussed in detail. Following the discussions, all proposed agendas were unanimously approved by the shareholders. The proposal to declare a 2.5% cash dividend for the 2020 fiscal year was also approved at the meeting.
