The government has initiated the process to remove the Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET).
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting confirmed the development late Wednesday night (April 23) through an official media release. The decision comes amid recent unrest at KUET and aims to resolve the ongoing crisis and restore normal academic operations swiftly.
A search committee will soon be formed to select successors for both posts. In the meantime, a senior professor will be temporarily assigned the duties of Vice-Chancellor to ensure the university’s daily functions continue without interruption, according to the Ministry of Education.
