Priyanka Zaman’s journey in the media is through her presentation. Then she started working as a model in advertisement. Then started working as a model in music videos. Later, she acted in TV dramas and movies.
Priyanka’s walk one by one in the five branches of media. However, as an actress, she has received more acceptances from the audience.
An era ago (12 years) today, Priyanka got the opportunity to present BTV’s movie songs based programme ‘Chhayachhondo’.
She was quite young then.
Due to his strong interest, the director of ‘Chhayachhondo’, Mostafizur Rahman presented Priyanka in front of the camera wearing a saree like an adult at that young age.
Priyanka’s presentation of the episode got quite a response at that time. After doing two or three more episodes, Priyanka didn’t present ‘Chhayachhondo’ again. She then took a break from work for six months.
Again she started working as a model on the billboard of ‘Aarong’. At that time, she worked as a model on the billboards of several organisations. She worked as model for the first time in the advertisement of ‘Singer LED TV’. At that time, she had the opportunity to work as a model in the advertisements of several other companies.
Priyanka worked as the music video’s model for the first time in Arifin Rumey’s song ‘Ek Poloke’, directed by Md Shamsul Huda. Later, she got popularity by working as a song model in several more music videos.
Priyanka was first seen in TV dramas in two consecutive dramas – ‘Prestige’ and ‘Hridoyghotito’. Shajal was opposite her in both dramas.
After that, the dramas in which the audience was impressed by her were especially ‘Swami Strir Golpo’, ‘Bhitur Dim’, ‘Badboy Majid’, ‘Aamar Ek Songi Chhilo’, ‘Ami Tomar Senior’, ‘Jhor Brishtir Raate’, and drama series ‘Musa’, and ‘Swapner Rani’.
Meanwhile, Priyanka’s first movie was Montazur Rahman Akbar directed ‘Jemon Jamai Temon Bou’. After that she acted in Md Aslam’s ‘Tabuo Prem Dami’, and Mohammad Hannan directed ‘Ki Kore Bolbo Priyotoma’. These two movies are still in the works.
Priyanka worked as a model in an advertisement of compressed bar with Apurba, a popular small screen actor of the time. She acted in TV dramas opposite Mir Sabbir, Shajal, Shahed, Saju and many more.
She has a strong desire to act in the
same drama with Mosharraf Karim.
Priyanka’s father Md Asaduzzaman and mother Monowara Begum are parents of Priyanka, a student of Ideal School and College of Jatrabari in the capital.
Priyanka has already acted in three new dramas. These are: ‘Biye Barir Golpo’, ‘Yatim Bou’ and drama series ‘Viral Gram’.
Regarding talking about her 12 years journey in media, Priyanka told this correspondent, “It’s been a long time 12 years since I’ve been in this favourite place, I’m surprised every time I think about it. Because again and again it seems that this is the story of that day, that little me started presenting ‘Chhayachhondo’, acting, what else. I have no regrets about a world that has truly passed.
I got the love of the people of this country, acted opposite many favorite actors. I have performed in many stage shows at home and abroad. My 12 years were full of love. I’m grateful to Almighty Allah, more grateful to the audience, and to all the directors and producers. I have my sincere gratitude especially to my father and mother.”
