Entertainment Report :
Prince Mahmud will not compose songs for movies anymore. There are many discussions going on after this announcement by this popular lyricist and composer.
Many people think that he may have decided to stay away from movies out of some pride.
However, Prince Mahmud said that it is not out of any pride, but he has taken such a decision to focus more on audio songs.
Prince Mahmud said, “There is a lot of discussion about not singing movie songs. There is a lot of news.
Actually, there is a bit of misunderstanding. But I wrote on Facebook that I have received a lot of respect by singing movie songs, which many people have not received.
Because I’m busy with movie songs, I’m not able to give the attention that is needed to the audio songs. This is the main reason for my decision.”
Prince Mahmud said that he currently has music work for two films in hand.
He hopes to finish that work by November-December. After that, he wants to focus entirely on audio songs. Prince Mahmud’s name is associated with many popular songs of Bengali bands and modern times.
This list includes many popular songs including ‘Ma’, ‘Baba’, ‘Bangladesh’, ‘Aaj Jonmodin Tomar’, ‘Eto Kosto Keno Bhalobashay’, ‘Eto Din Pore Prshno Jage’ and many more. Prince Mahmud is no less popular for his movie songs.
Two years ago, Prince surprised everyone with the song ‘Ishwar’ in Shakib Khan’s movie ‘Priyotoma’. After that, he sang for the movies ‘Rajkumar’ and ‘Jungli’.
Prince Mahmud wrote on Facebook about his decision to remove himself from film songs, “I have turned down many film jobs because I have nothing new to offer in films. Whatever you may say, film songs are actually the songs of the hero-director, not mine. There is no point in taking unnecessary credit.” He further wrote, “I don’t enjoy working on films. There is a mental pressure to make each song good.
However, I have received a lot of respect and maximum publicity while singing film songs. This is also a pressure for me. I will be in the audio songs, where songs like ‘Ma’, ‘Baba’, ‘Bangladesh’ sung by James; ‘Bela Ketchhe’ by Ayub Bachchu, ‘Baro Mash Tomay Bhalobashi’ by Ayub Bachchu; ‘Eto Kosto Keno Bhalobasay’ by Hasan; ‘Jodi Himalaya Hoye’ by Khalid; ‘Tumi Baruna Hole’ by Mahadi; ‘Mati Hob Mati’ by Rumi; ‘Chhip Nouko’ by Tahsan and Kona; ‘Bhubon Dangar Hashi’ by Topu and Nancy; ‘Alo’ by Tahsan; ‘Anagoto’ by Tanzir Tuhin; ‘Kobi’ by Elita or ‘Ekakitte’ sung by Minar will be my songs.”
