A press conference was organised at the Upazila Press Club at 12 noon on Saturday to protest against attack, vandalism, looting and grabbing land in Sirajdikhan Chormarddan area of Munshiganj. Gopa Ghosh (65) spoke on behalf of the victim in the press conference.
In a written statement, Gopa Ghosh said that on August 6 at around 4 pm, UP member Iqbal Didar led by Shahbuddin Sheikh, Noorjahan Sheikh, Amit Pal, Anand Pal, Neel Kamal Pal and Aruni Karmkar along with 5-6 other terrorists stormed into our house with machetes, sticks and vandalized the house and looted cash money. In addition, my neck bone was broken due to the opponent’s attack and my house was damaged worth Tk. 5 lakh.
Gopa Ghosh also claimed that the miscreants snatched her house ownership documents obtained through her ancestral men.
