President M Abdul Hamid on Thursday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of valiant freedom fighter and Kishoreganj district unit Awami League leader Advocate Md Mofiz Uddin. In a condolence message, the President recalled his contribution to the country’s War of Liberation in 1971.
“Nation will remember his valuable contribution in the Liberation War,” he said.
The President prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members. Advocate Mofiz Uddin breathed his last at a city hospital at about 1:20 am on Thursday at the age of 69.
