Speaking at the event, Upazila BNP General Secretary Rezaul Karim Shahin said, “Begum Khaleda Zia took the leadership of BNP at a time when she was a housewife.

After the death of Ziaur Rahman, she assumed responsibility for the Nationalist Party at the request of party leaders and activists across the country.

Over the years, she has faced various forms of persecution and challenges, giving courage and support to party members nationwide.

Through her strong leadership, she has earned a reputation as an uncompromising leader in various political parties across the country.

At present, people from all levels are praying for her speedy recovery and well-being.”
