PRAN Dairy holds seminar to raise awareness on safe milk production

To ensure safe milk production, it is essential to raise awareness among farmers and establish effective cooperation among stakeholders.

Speakers emphasized this at a seminar titled “Safe Milk: Coordinated efforts of farmers and stakeholders” organised by PRAN Dairy on Wednesday at the Upazila Parishad auditorium in Gurudaspur, Natore.

The seminar was attended by Maksudur Rahman, Chief Operating Officer of PRAN Dairy, Fahmida Afroz, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Gurudasur, Dr. Md. Selim Uddin, District Livestock Officer of Natore, Nazmul Hasan, Assistant Director of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection, Md. Mofazzal Hossain, Food Safety Officer, along with industry experts and more than a hundred dairy farmers, says a press release.

Speakers highlighted that maintaining milk quality requires hygienic farm management, timely health checks of cattle, proper storage after milking, and quality assurance through testing at collection centers.

Therefore, in addition to farmers, the Department of Livestock, milk marketing companies, and other stakeholders must perform their responsibilities diligently.

Maksudur Rahman, Chief Operating Officer of PRAN Dairy, said, “Through our Dairy hubs, we provide regular training and various forms of support to farmers.
