Postponed BPL matches to be held on Jan 1
BSS, Dhaka :
The two matches of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) that were scheduled for Tuesday and subsequently cancelled, will now be rescheduled to January 1 in honour of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia who passed away earlier on Tuesday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed.
In a press release, the BCB stated that no BPL matches will be held on Tuesday in line with the general holiday declared by the Government of Bangladesh on the first day of three days of national mourning.
“The BPL Governing Council will issue a revised itinerary covering the matches originally scheduled for January 1, along with all other remaining fixtures of the tournament, in due course,” the release added.
