Staff Reporter: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday reshuffled portfolios of a minister and two state ministers.
In the redistributing, Minister for Housing and Public Works SM Rejaul Karim was made minister for fisheries and livestock, State Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Md Ashraf Ali Khan was made state minister for social welfare, while State Minister for Social Welfare Sharif Ahmed was made state minister for housing and public works.
The cabinet division issued a gazette notification yesterday in this regard.
This is the third reshuffle in the Hasina-led 47-member cabinet of the 13-month-old government.
The cabinet took oath on January 7, 2019, following a landslide victory in the December 30, 2018, national polls.
A minor cabinet reshuffle was made on May 19 last year, when the Prime Minister reallocated portfolios of five cabinet members, curtailing the powers of two ministers and increasing the powers of two state ministers.
Sheikh Hasina reshuffled her cabinet for the second time in July last year.
