Once upon a time, most web content was full of vulgar dialogues and excessive sexuality. Producers used to capitalise on vulgarity to attract viewers.
There was no shortage of criticism about this. Complaints were raised against series like Wahid Tarek’s ‘Boomerang’, Suman Anwar’s ‘Sadarghater Tiger’ or Shihab Shaheen’s ‘August 14’ that were released on the country’s platforms. Over time, producers have moved away from that trend.
They have avoided obscenity and focused on quality production. However, the web series ‘Paap Kahini’, which was released on iScreen during Eid-ul-Azha, seemed to take them back to the dark times of obscenity.
Shahriar Nazim Joy has created the 3-episode web series ‘Paap Kahini’. He also plays one of the main characters in the series.
He is also accompanied by Runa Khan, Mousumi Mou, Tanzia Mithila, etc. Seeing the names of the actors, many may think of watching the series with their families. However, it is better not to think like that because, “If you watch it with your family, you will have to face embarrassing situations.”
The story of the story of ‘Paap Kahini’ centers around a man named Mofiz. His wife has a lot of wealth. However, Mofiz does not like his wife. He has eyes for other women. At one point, his eyes fall on his wife’s sister.
However, his wife catches him red-handed. Mofiz apologises to him and manages the situation. At one point, he throws his wife into the middle of a river to kill her. But Mofiz’s wife survives. He kills Mofiz to take revenge.
To make the story interesting, the makers focus on the screenplay, dialogues, and cinematography. But the maker Joy’s focus was on obscene dialogues and vulgar scenes.
In almost every scene, obscene dialogues are heard from Joy, who plays the character of Mofiz. It can be understood from the look of it that these dialogues are not necessary for the story, but have been added intentionally.
The scene of her having sex with another man in front of her husband to take revenge is shown.
In addition, the series features two scenes of actress Mousumi Mou’s bathing. The entire scene, starting with pouring water on her exposed back, is depicted in an indecent manner.
When Mofiz, who has a lot of money, is spending time in a brothel, a friend suggests that he should invest in movies. Only then will he be able to find heroines on his own.
