Pori Moni’s ‘Maa’ headed to Cannes Film Festival

Directed by Aronno Anwar, the Pori Moni starrer movie titled ‘Maa’ will be released this May 19 on the occasion
of International Mother’s Day.

However, before the movie’s domestic release, it will already have premiered
at the Cannes Film Festival, said
a press release.

Aronno Anwar, the director of ‘Maa’, confirmed the news on Tuesday.
He said, “This is great news for our movie ‘Maa’. It feels great to be blessed with this honour.”

He also said, “This is a Liberation War-based movie. I hope the audience of the country will support ‘Maa’ when it is released in theatres.”
In the movie ‘Maa,’ Pori Moni will be playing the role of a mother. Aside from her, the movie also stars Farzana Chobi in an important role.
While talking about this special moment, actress Farzana Chobi shared her feelings by this way, “The news that movie ‘Maa’ will be premiering at the Cannes Film Festival has moved me greatly. Tears are coming to my eyes. I am overjoyed in this regard.”
