Actress Apu Biswas was seen participating in the election campaign for the Awami League during the previous government.
She also bought nomination papers for the reserved women’s seat in the National Assembly on behalf of the party.

Apu Biswas was seen at the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)’s founding anniversary event. After that, a storm of criticism started against Apu. Another film actress, Pori Moni, did not give up either. She sarcastically called Apu Biswas a ‘poltibaaz’.
Apu Biswas participated in a showdown, dinner and cultural program at the Janipur Government Secondary School grounds in Khoksa Upazila of Rajbari on Thursday to mark the 47th founding anniversary of the BNP. He was accompanied by actor Nirab Hossain.
At the event, Apu Biswas said, “I am a girl from Bogura. I had come to Rajbari before, but I did not come to Khoksa. I thank my beloved elder brother Ripon Bhai (local BNP leader) for bringing me here.
Ripon Bhai wants to serve you. I want you to give him that opportunity. I think there can be no more generous-hearted person than the person who wants to give you what you want. I want him to achieve his goals with the love and support you are giving him.”
The news of Apu Biswas’ participation in the BNP event went viral on social media instantly.
After that, the actress faced ridicule from netizens. Many in showbiz criticized her. Pori Moni was not left out either.
Pori Moni wrote on Facebook, “Earlier it was 6 months Hindu, 6 months Muslim. Now it is 6 months Awami League, 6 months BNP. Didi said that he is a partisan, opportunist, but he showed it. What is this, father?”
Even though she did not mention anyone’s name on Facebook, no one can understand that Pori wrote this to Apu Biswas because, Apu had been criticised for her comments on religion before entering politics. After the news of her marriage with Shakib Khan came out, Apu said that she married Shakib after converting to Islam.
However, Apu denied changing her religion after breaking up with Shakib Khan. She said that she is in Sanatan Dharma. Taking up that topic, Pori Moni sarcastically criticised Apu.
Many people are surprised by Pori Moni’s comments about Apu Biswas. Because everyone knows that Apu and Pori Moni have a very good relationship. The two have been seen together at various events. Apu was also seen at Pori Moni’s child’s birthday party.
The two also visit each other’s homes on various occasions. But what happened suddenly that Pori Moni did not stop publicly criticising Apu! Of course, relationships in the film industry are always shaky.
