Sheikh Arif Bulbon :

Over the past few years, the number of work in Tollywood has increased by the artistes of Dhaka. Tollywood artistes are also working regularly in this country.

However, the recent political tensions and visa complications have put the artistes of two countries in danger. Many movies have been postponed, and some artistes have given up on scheduled movies. Many artistes are worried about their future works.

Bangladeshi directors Himu Akram and Kamrul Rifat are planning to make two movies about West Bengal’s Swastika Mukherjee named ‘Altabanu Kokhono Josna Dekheni’ and ‘One Eleven’ respectively. Now considering the situation the shooting of two movies has been postponed.

Swastika Mukherjee was supposed to start shooting for the movie ‘Altabanu Kokhono Josna Dhekhni’ in Bangladesh from September 1.

However, the shooting of the movie has been postponed due to not getting her work permit.
While talking in this regard, director Himu Akram told this correspondent, “From the 1st of this month, the artistes were to take the schedule. It has been postponed due to various reasons including visa complications.

Swastika Mukherjee’s work permit was applied for. But considering the overall situation of the country, it did not. As we have been informed, all will be fine soon. Then apply again. Then I will apply for shooting again.”

Director Kamrul Rifat planned the shooting of ‘One Eleven’ movie in October. Now that’s not happening anymore.

While talking in this regard, director Kamrul Rifat told this correspondent, “Due to the current situation in the country, I withdrew from the decision of shooting. Many artistes will work in our cinema. The situation to work with them has not yet arisen. Swastika Mukherjee is also there.

There is a matter of her work permit and visa process. It is not going to be done now. So, it is not possible to say when we will be able to start shooting. If the situation is right, we will discuss with the artistes and arrange new schedules.”

Meanwhile, director Rashid Polash is also thinking about the issue of artistes’ safety besides visa complications.
West Bengal’s actress Rituparna Sengupta is supposed to act in his ‘Tori’ movie. However, considering the overall situation, director Polash has postponed the shooting of the movie. This director wants to wait until the situation is normal.

While talking in this regard, director Rashid Polash told this correspondent, “Considering the overall situation of the country, the shooting of the movie has been postponed. The shooting of Rituparna of the movie ‘Tori’ is outside Dhaka. In this situation of the country, one has to think about visa complications as well as her security.

Although the shooting of some works have started, the overall situation has not returned to the previous state. Hopefully, everything will be fine by next month. After that, I will discuss and fix the shooting schedule.”
Meanwhile, at the end of this month, Kolkata’s actress Idhika Paul is scheduled to start shooting for the movie ‘Borbad’ with Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan. Director Mehedi Hasan Hridoy is a bit worried because of Shakib Khan’s Indian visa.

Director Mehedi Hasan Hridoy has already arrived in India. Some parts of this joint production movie are supposed to be shot in Bangladesh.

If the relationship between the two countries does not improve, the director and producer of this movie will have to think of alternatives.

The artistes of Bangladesh are also worried for the same reason. Tasnia Farin, the favourite face of the small screen, left the Tollywood movie ‘Protiksha’ due to not getting Indian visa. She was supposed to act with Mithun Chakraborty and Dev under the direction of Abhijit Sen.

While talking in this regard, Tasnia Farin told this correspondent, “After the fall of the Awami League government, some complications have arisen in getting Indian visa from Bangladesh.

But Mithun Chakraborty and Dev’s schedules will not be available if the shooting is not started in the scheduled month of November. Due to these reasons, I am not working on this movie in the end.”

The dubbing work of Pori Moni in the movie ‘Felubakshi’ has been stuck due to not getting Indian visa. After finishing the work of filming the scenes of the movie, dubbing is left for this actress. But Pori Moni is in trouble with getting the Indian visa.

While talking in this regard, Pori Moni said, “My previous visa has expired, having trouble getting a new visa. Now when I will get the visa, when I can go, I do not understand.”

Actress Shobnom Bubly has the same problem as Pori Moni. She is unable to participate in the dubbing of the movie ‘Flashback’ due to her visa.

This actress is supposed to make her Tollywood debut with this movie directed by Bangladeshi director Rashed Raha.

Another Bangladeshi actress Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed is also worried. On the occasion of Durga Puja, her movie ‘Joto Kando Kolkatatei,’ directed by Anik Dutta, will be released in West Bengal next month. However, there are concerns about her presence in the promotion of the movie.

Meanwhile, Bangladeshi actors Apurba, Siam Ahmed, Rafiath Rashid Mithila and Nusraat Faria fear to face the same problem.

Apurba’s Tollywood movie ‘Chaalchitro’ opposite Raima Sen, Siam’s ‘Protiksha’, Mithila’s ‘Meghla’ and Nusraat Faria’s ‘Rockstar’ movies are waiting to release.

They are supposed to go to West Bengal to promote these movies.
Also, popular actor of Bangladesh, Mosharraf Karim has signed a contract to act in the drama series titled ‘Adarsha Hind Hostel’ of Arindam Sil.

After ‘Dictionary’ and ‘Hubba’, he is supposed to work in a new movie of Kolkata’s director Bratya Basu. But until the situation is normal, Mosharraf Karim is not able to fix his schedule, according to the actor.

It is known that considering the current situation of the two countries, the directors of West Bengal are also losing interest in the artistes of Bangladesh. All in all, the suffering of the artistes of the two countries is getting prolonged – that is what the people related to the cinema think.
