The Police Headquarters has launched a dedicated hotline service to address incidents of violence, harassment, and abuse against women across the country.
The hotline, which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, aims to provide immediate assistance in cases of aggressive behavior, teasing, harassment, and sexual assault.
According to a press release issued on Monday, Additional Inspector General (AIG) Enamul Haque Sagar confirmed the launch of the service, emphasizing its importance in ensuring women’s safety.
Victims or witnesses can report incidents through the following hotline numbers: 01320002001, 01320002002, 01320002222.
In addition to the hotline, the Police Cyber Support for Women Facebook page remains active, offering legal guidance and protection for victims of cybercrime. The press release reaffirmed that the Bangladesh Police maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards crimes against women and children. Authorities are committed to taking swift legal action against perpetrators to uphold law and order.
The launch of this service marks a significant step in strengthening women’s safety and ensuring accessible support for victims across Bangladesh.
