Senior officials, including DIG (Operations) Md. Rezaul Karim, were present at Police Headquarters.
Akram Hossain during the meeting emphasized the importance of intensifying joint operations to recover illegal firearms, stressing that no leniency should be shown to those possessing illegal weapons.

He also directed unit heads to closely monitor efforts to apprehend fugitives and underscored the need for effective measures to prevent highway robberies. The Additional IGP also urged all officials to provide rapid service to citizens visiting police stations.

“Police personnel must be dedicated to ensuring that people receive the assistance they seek without any delay,” he said.

These details were shared through a press release by AIG (Media & Public Relations) Enamul Haque Sagar.
