The police on Wednesday arrested two suspected drug peddlers in Itna Haor upazila of Kishoreganj, seizing 16 kg of hemp in the operation.
The arrestees are Sohel Miah (42), son of Md Jolhasj Miah, Ajab Ali (38), son of Monthu Miah in Madhabpur of Habiganj.
Itna Police Station Officer in Charge (OC) Monowar Hossain said, acting on a tip-off, authorities set up a checkpoint at Itna Zero Point, where they arrested Sohel and Ajab Ali and recovered 16 kg of hemp in their possession.
A case was field in this connection with Itna police station, and they were sent to District Jail, Kishoreganj
