Poet Sufia Kamal pioneered organising women

Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP), kishoreganj district committee arranged a discussion meeting held at its office room on Friday afternoon.
District Committee president advocate Maya Bhowmick presided over the discussion.
Sufia Kamal pioneered organising women to participate in different socio-cultural movements in Bangladesh, said guests and discussants at a programme.
The programme titled Sufia Kamal & Naribadi Andolan was organised by Bangladesh Mahila Parishad to celebrate the 114 th anniversary of the birth of Sufia Kamal.
Advocate Maya Bhowmick said that, ‘Sufia Kamal was a great writer and organiser of her time. She made a crucial contribution in organising women and promoting women’s education in Bangladesh,’
Atia Hossain said, Sufia Kamal herself through her writings.
