Eminent poet Syeda Rashida Bari has received ‘Palli Kabi Jashim Uddin Award 2024’ for her special contribution to the field of literature.
She was given the award during the Winter Literature Festival 2024 at Palli Kabi Jashim Uddin Jadughar and Lok Sangskritic Kendra at Ambikapur in Sadar upazila of Faridpur district.
Sahitto Sangskritic Gabeshona Kendra, Faridpur gave the award.
Supported by Palli Kabi Jashim Uddin Jadughar and Lok Sangskritic Kendra, Sahitto Sangskritic Gabeshona Kendra organized the event recently.
Chaired by Zakia Sultana Shilpi, founder president of Sahitto Sangskriti Gabeshona Kendra, poets and writers from across the country attended the daylong event.
Besides, Syeda Rashida Bari has been honoured with three other separate awards in Kushtia district in recognition of her contribution to literature.
She was given the awards at the three-day cultural programme of Bashara Kashimpur Bhandaria Darbar Sharif in Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia district recently.
In recognition of her contribution to all branches of literature, Syeda Rashida Bari was given the ‘Gunijan Sammanana 2024’ and the title of ‘Shams Tabrizi’ on behalf of Bashara Kashimpur Bhandaria Darbar Sharif.
Syeda Rashida Bari was awarded the title of ‘Language Scientist’ by an Indian media ‘Srishti TV’ on the second day of the event held at the same venue, and given another citation titled ‘Rabeya Basari’ by the International Gauchul Azam Cultural Academy on the third day.
It should be noted that Syeda Rashida Bari has written more than 200 books so far.
She composed more than 4,000 songs. Syeda Rashida Bari has received about 90 felicitations, honours, awards, crests, medals, certificates, and certificates at local, national and international levels in literature and culture. She got about 26 titles, out of which she got 6 titles including Bharatrat from India.
Lyricist of Bangladesh Betar, Bangladesh Television and Film, she is the editor and publisher of the national monthly magazine ‘Swapner Desh’.
