Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Mnday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Pankaj Bhattacharya, one of the organisers of the 1971Liberation War and President of Oikya NAP.
In a message of condolence, she prayed for salvation of his departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Pankaj breathed his last at a city hospital around 12:25am Monday.
