A High Court (HC) Division bench of the Supreme Court yesterday granted six weeks anticipatory bail to two associates of Prashant Kumar Halder, also known as PK Halder, in 15 cases of illegal acquisition of wealth.
The High Court bench comprising Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Kazi Ibadat Hossain passed the order considering their bail pleas.
Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik confirmed the media on Thursday.
He said that although granted bail, they have been instructed to surrender their passports to the court and are prohibited from traveling abroad without permission.
