‘People supported ban on AL’

Magura, May 16: Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor Shafiqul Alam said that there was no negative reaction in the international arena regarding the ban on Awami League because the decision had the support of the people. He said this while exchanging views with journalists at the Magura Press Club on Friday afternoon.
He also said that the trial of Awami League will be conducted fairly and there will be no injustice in it. He also said that according to the Chief Advisor, national elections will be held between December and June.
Regarding the child rape and murder case in Magura, he said, “I hope we will see justice. We have done the judicial work as quickly as possible for justice. The cabinet has made the necessary amendments to the law regarding this. We hope that justice will be served in this case.”
Speaking about improving the quality of district journalism, Shafiqul Alam said, “If we want to improve the quality of district journalism, it is important for the authorities to pay attention to their financial issues.”
