Regular activities of Payra Marine Port resumed in current situation on Thursday August 8, 2024.
Journalists after visiting the port found that operational activities at Payra Port are ongoing smoothly at present.
Clearance of goods is going on in the outer anchorage andinner jetties of the port areas.
However, 48 private security personnel and 50 Ansar members and 42 naval personnel are actively performing their duties in the port, Chairman of Payra Marine Port Abdullah Al Mamun Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
He said, today, a ship called MV Anti Gunnerfos with 24,000 metric tons of coal arrived at the port. In addition, earlier 12 ships are coming to Payra port in July. And in August, 5 foreign ships have anchored at the port so far earning about 40 crore taka revenue.
